AT COMMERCIAL DIVERS INTERNATIONAL (CDI), YOU’LL GET THE HANDS-ON TRAINING TO FILL THE DEMAND FOR QUALIFIED COMMERCIAL DIVERS

In the classroom and underwater, you will receive practical, firsthand instruction on how to safely operate hydraulic power tools such as drills, impact drivers, torches and welding equipment. You will also learn to perform real-world tasks like operating air systems and recompression chambers, valve assembly, pipe clamping and more.

Our state-of-the-art campus in Goodyear, Arizona features three spacious 21,000-gallon tanks that simulate real-world conditions and projects. The tanks are large enough for you to be assisted by your instructor and feature viewing portals so that your instructor can assist you from outside the tank as well. Open water dives are done as needed at nearby lakes.

You don’t need any previous diving experience to pursue a career in commercial diving. The main criteria are a high school diploma or GED, physical fitness, mechanical ability, the completion of a Standardized Diving Physical and an absolute respect for diving safety rules.

DIVING PROGRAM, YOU WILL GET INDUSTRY CERTIFICATIONS THAT CONFIRM YOUR SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES

When you complete CDI’s Commercial Diving program, you will achieve the certifications that employers are looking for, including ADCI Entry Level Diver/Tender card in accordance with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Underwater Welding Training, First Aid & CPR certification, Oxygen Provider certification, Supervised Open water SCUBA (NAUI) Diving Certification, and OSHA Forklift Certification.
